Founded in 1878, Royal Troon Golf Club has definitely outgrown its local reputation. It’s now heralded as one of the finest championship courses in the world due to its challenging play and wonderful surroundings. The inward half of the course presents a particularly difficult golfing examination; indeed, it’s renowned as the most demanding of any Course on the Championship rota. Royal Troon Golf Club offers numerous packages to golfers of all tastes and budgets, so you can enjoy a week at the course as well as a few spare hours. This too has a long and complex history: in the late 19th century is was nothing but a mere wooden structure, little more than 300 square feet in area. Today’s Ailsa Room was erected in the late 1970s, and redeveloped again in 2006. You’ll now find an integral professional shop, offices and an upgraded and newly furnished clubhouse. Really enjoying the Open here. Hope Phil or Rory wins tomorrow. Who knows might go until Monday. Great golfing everyone who plays here. I don't know how to play golf lol
